Hello, and welcome to my site. My name is Shannon Morales, and I named my translation service The Perfect Word because I never settle for less than perfect!

Originally from Arkansas, USA, I have 8 years of experience living in Japan. The Japanese language and people have been an integral part of my life ever since I first studied there in 1989. I am certified at level one in Japanese proficiency and have been translating professionally since 2001. While I translate only from Japanese and only into my native language of English, I also speak Spanish and intermediate Mandarin. Learning other languages has heightened my awareness of the intricacies of English as well, making me an even better writer, translator, and editor.

My strongest area is spoken English for narration purposes. But my experience ranges far and wide. I will only accept your project if I am 100% sure I can provide you the perfect translation that you as a client deserve.
